Remembrance | Chapter 19

”What is this place? How did I end up here?” she asked the loverbirds.
“This is a garden of remembrance. It’s where people come to pay tribute to all the love that’s been lost” they replied.

“Why did this happen?” she asked.
“Well, there comes a point in life when you have to make a choice ~ to bury all of your love or let it live on for eternity. In some cases you can do both.”

“Why do the gravestones look like bottles?” she asked.

And the birds answered, “Well, we like to make the stones look celebratory regardless of the outcome. It is best to move forward with appreciation and honour. We also sometimes like to throw a party! No point crying over spilt love…it’s everywhere you look for it.”
